John Harvey, CPA, MBT

John Harvey is the firm’s owner and primary service provider. Mr. Harvey holds a Masters in Business Taxation (MBT) and a bachelor of science degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California  (the Leventhal School of Accounting is consistently ranked in the top five accounting schools by US News and World Report). He began his career in 1989 with the Beverly Hills office of Ernst & Young as a tax consultant to high net worth celebrities including Johnny Carson, Bill Crosby, Janet Jackson, Walter Matthau, and Larry Hagman. Mr. Harvey is a licensed CPA in the state of California. The firm is also a member of the California Society of CPA's. and Mr. Harvey is a committee member of the society's Global Options Committee which monitors and advances the role of the CPA in the global economy.

In 1992, Mr. Harvey moved to Moscow and worked as a tax consultant for Price Waterhouse as many multinational firms were beginning to enter the Russian market. He also worked as a Senior Manager with Deloitte & Touch� in Los Angeles.  Mr. Harvey opened our Moscow office in 1995, which was the first CPA firm opened in Russia outside of the "big-five" firms, and opened an affiliate office in Los Cabos, Mexico. Over the years we have been successful in providing expatriate tax and accounting services to Americans and other foreign nationals living in Europe, Asia, Russia, the Middle East and the rest of the world, with a special emphasis on personal income tax services. 

Mr. Harvey is also licensed as a Registered Investment Advisor (NASD series 7, 66 and 63), and a Real Estate Agent in the state of California.  These credentials together with his business knowledge and real world experience allow the firm to offer other financial services to complement our tax and accounting services. Faviola Solorzano

Ms. Solorzano is a Senior International Tax Consultant at ExpatCPA and has a degree in Accounting from California State University, Fullerton. Ms. Solorzano is also working towards her license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).  Faviola is looking forward to working with you on the preparation of your U.S. tax return and to answering any questions you may have in regards to international and U.S. taxation. Evelyn Ybarra

Evelyn Ybarra is a Tax Consultant with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from California Sate University at Fullerton. Currently, she is working towards her license as a Certified Public Accountant. While in school she was an active member of the accounting society and is still a member alumni. Daniel Galvan

Daniel graduated from CSUF in 2003 with honors with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. He has won a number of minority accounting scholarships from AICPA, HSF & from CSUF. Once graduated, he went to a full-time ministry school for 2 years.  Daniel is currently enrolled in Hope International University as a part time student pursuing a MBA in Management and is scheduled to graduate in May 2009.

Mr. Thomas Kulzak, MBT

Thomas Kulzak holds a Master of Business Taxation Degree (MBT) from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.

He specializes in capital gains and estate tax minimization and deferral strategies for real estate investors and business owners. He also works with clients on real estate portfolio analysis, risk analysis, and acquisition and disposition consulting and brokerage.

He is a licensed real estate salesperson and has been involved for over 20 years in the real estate industry, including investment acquisitions, development, financial management for a real estate developer, commercial real estate finance, and investment analysis.

Michelle Cassidy

Mrs. Cassidy has a degree in marketing from the University of Monterey.  Her responsibilities at ExpatCPA include  marketing, investor relations and office administration services.  Michelle is looking forward to working with you and to providing any assistance you may require with regards to TIC documentation.

Katrina DeGuzman

Katrina DeGuzman is a marketing and compliance consultant for Cornerstone Exchange Services/OMNI brokerage. She has a bachelor�s degree in Communications from California State University, Fullerton. During her tenure at Cal State Fullerton she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega national sorority. She held several leadership positions and was involved in many philanthropic events. Dinar Akhmetov, MBA

Dinar Akhmetov is a graduate of Plekhanov Economic Academy. He has higher financial, engineering and linguistic education and has a degree of Master of Business Administration. Mr. Akhmetov is a former senior tax consultant for the Moscow office of Price Waterhouse and a former head of the personal tax department for the Russian audit firm, International Audit, LLC. He has extensive experience in Russian tax and payroll services.

Van Crawford CPA, MBA

Mr. Crawford heads our Anaheim, California affiliate office.  Mr. Crawford holds a Masters Degree in Accounting from the California State University at Fullerton and has practiced as a Certified Public Accountant for approximately two decades.

The firm has a presence in both the US, Russia and Mexico.  Our US office is located in Orange County, California, our Russian office is located in Moscow, and our Mexico affiliate office is located in Los Cabos.   These three strategic locations allow us to serve US expatriates and companies in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and the rest of the world. We also periodically visit principal cities in Europe and the Middle East.
